Meet Dr. Evans

Bennie Evans DDS

As a dentist, I love using my skills to provide the best dental care possible for patients. I truly care about those I serve, and enjoy using dentistry to improve their self image and their health. Patients often become more confident after dental treatments, as they gain a smile they can be proud of! People appreciate what my staff and I do for them, and our practice always strives to exceed patients' expectations.

Education and Continuing Education

Before becoming a dentist, I attained my Undergraduate Degree at Oxford College and Emory University. I then attended Emory University School of Dentistry.

After dental school, I proudly served in the US Army, receiving extensive training in oral surgery and emergency dental care. I continue my training in current restorative and surgical techniques through professional seminars, because restoration and implants are an important part of our practice. As part of my continuing education, I am also an active member of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association.

Professional Organizations:

After serving in the US Army for three years, I opened our practice in Griffin in 1979. I truly enjoy what I do, as it gives me the opportunity to provide valuable services for our community while also getting to know my patients personally. We get to help our neighbors, and they often become more than patients; they become our friends.

My staff and I only provide the best care possible for our patients, and I enjoy continually updating our methods and technology to ensure the most efficient and comfortable services. Our patients put a lot of trust in my abilities and expertise, and I will only offer them treatments I would perform on my own family.

Community Involvement

I was born in LaGrange, GA, and my family and I have lived in Griffin since 1979. I have been married to Anna Richardson Evans for over 40 years and we have two lovely daughters. When I am not in the office, I enjoy hunting, fishing and gardening. I also build stained glass art and wood turning.

The Griffin community is very important to me, and I enjoy being involved in many areas of community service. I am especially passionate about community development, and serve on the Pike County Planning and Zoning Commission. I am also a member of Rotary Club of Griffin, Griffin Historical Society, Pike Historic Preservation, Ducks unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation. Additionally, I am the President of Citizens to Promote Pike, and an annual sponsor of Slow Exposures Photography Exhibition.
